Huon Jet has been in operation for 35 years.

Our Boats

Our custom, locally built Jet Boats were built for conditions on the Huon River. Each boat is powered by a 5.7 litre V8 Chev engine, driving a Hamilton Jet and can operate in as little as 100ml of water.

The River

The Huon River, known as Taloone to the Mellukerdee people. has many moods, varying from a gentle flow to a raging torrent. Conditions across the river vary from its peak at Scotts Dam to the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Your Jet Boat ride takes in a 12 km section including a tidal area, gentle rapids and tranquil basins. River heights constantly vary throughout the year.
